Design:

The key feature of the design is the table’s ability to be broken down into four flat components and reassembled with only a rubber mallet. The pair of leg assemblies are each attached to the table’s top with a tapered sliding dovetail. This joint keeps the solid wooden top perfectly flat while allowing for seasonal wood movement. The overall design can be modified and scaled up for use as a dining table. The ash used in this example is a hard, durable wood, well-suited for the daily use expected from an item such as a coffee or dining table.
